
The Correflow® MFM3100® electronic flow meter has broad applications throughout the chemical, petroleum, and polymer industries. This is the only in-line, real-time fluid flow meter to measure velocity, concentration, and mass flow of each component in various two-phase mixtures. It is uniquely designed for the mass flow measurement of catalyst feed to polyolefin reactors and other two-phase mass flow streams.
The Correflow Mass Flow Monitor (MFM3100) measures gases, solids, or non-conducting liquids in nearly any combination of two materials. This includes solids in insulating liquids, solids in gas, gas in insulating liquids, and miscible liquids. In many process streams, the MFM3100 is the only way to accurately monitor actual feed rates.
The MFM3100 provides direct measurement of stream concentration and mass flow, allowing closed-loop process control. Unlike other systems, it can measure pulsed flows or continuous streams, with varying concentrations in real-time. Other instruments measure only the mass flow of the mixture, not the individual components by erroneously assuming that the mixture concentration is always constant.
